What is the difference between Small & Regular orders?
Red Bird Pantry provides portion options so you can decide what is best for your child. Generally, the recommended serving sizes for children age 4-8 is 2½ ounces protein, 2½ ounces grains and about 5 ounces fruits & vegetables.
The recommended serving sizes for children age 9-13 is 3½ ounces protein, 2½ ounces grains & 7 ounces fruits & vegetables.
Red Bird Pantry allows you to choose what serving size is appropriate for your child. This reduces wasted food and saves money!
I forgot to order lunch/snack! Can I still order?
Normal lunch/snack orders must be placed by 12:00pm (noon) the day before, but if you forget, you may order up until 8am on the same day. A late surcharge fee of $1.00 will be applied to fulfill your order.
Emergency lunches will be provided, but the selection may be limited. A $1.00 emergency lunch fee, plus the cost of the lunch will be applied to your account.
Allergy Disclaimer
We prepare snacks and lunches on shared equipment that may process products that contain eggs, dairy, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish & shellfish.
Meal “ingredients” may be free of these items, and while we are very careful with our preparation processes, human error can occur and cause cross contamination. If your child has an allergy to any of the above-mentioned items, please use caution when ordering our lunches.

What is included with the lunch?
Proper packaging and service ware is included with Morning Recess Snacks and After School Snacks. Lunch items include filtered water, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. We provide all service ware, napkins and condiments.
Can I make changes or substitutions to menu items?
Unfortunately, no. We have found that by trying to accommodate each special request, we cannot feed each student in a timely manner.

Normal Orders
The cut-off time for regular orders is 12:00pm (noon) the day before. Please be sure to complete your order by the cut-off time.
Items for the same day still in your cart after the cut-off time will be removed when you attempt to check out. There are automated processes in our website that occur at the cut-off time, so please be sure to check-out prior to that time.
We do not provide Morning Recess Snack, Lunch and After School Snack on early dismissal days.

Emergency Lunch Orders
We want to insure that no children go hungry due to no lunch order so we prepare extra meals each day, but they are limited so it is always better for you to preorder.
Emergency lunch choices may be limited based on availability. Your child is welcome to go through our lunch line, we will feed them and place a Emergency “Surcharge” order fee of $1.00 in your account retroactively.
You will receive an email with the specifics of the order and the Emergency “Surcharge”. We do not allow Emergency Snack Orders.
Lunch Cancellations
If your child will not be attending school on a day a lunch has been purchased a lunch credit will be issued provided the specific lunch is canceled on the web site by you before 8:00 AM.
The cancellation will result in a lunch credit that can be used to purchase a future lunch.
No cancellations will be accepted after 8:00 AM.
Snack Orders
Morning Recess Snack and After School Snack orders must be placed by the Normal Hours (12:00pm noon the day before) or as Late “Surcharge” Orders (8:00am on the day of).
Morning Recess Snack and After School Snacks are delivered to the classroom and we do not provide Emergency Snack Orders.
